There are two scenarios when multiple individual monitors are needed in a conference room.
When the conference room is set up for round table seating and all participants are facing each other

When you have a huge conference room table and the projecting screen is very far away

Traditional Setup for connecting multiple monitors
You will need to purchase HDMI Splitters in order to duplicate 1 HDMI source input to multiple HDMI outputs.
It requires some long HDMI cables since HDMI signal needs to be wired back to the source input.

The Easiest Way to Set up Small Monitors in a Conference Room using Gechic M505E with HDMI out
Gechic M505E has an embedded chipset that takes the incoming HDMI signal and duplicate it to the HDMI output port. Monitors can be connected in serial (daisy chain) mode using standard HDMI cables. Each monitor also has built-in speakers with volume control.
HDMI signal consists of the image and the sound data. The image is displayed on the monitor and sound is output to the built-in speakers. This HDMI daisy-chain setup reduces the messy wires from traditional HDMI splitter setup.
